The CO is the unit's chief administrator and is responsible for unit operations and for coordinating events that occur within unit boundaries. The OC is responsible for maintaining communications with the Legion Council and Legion Command. The OC also appoints the officers and staff of the unit and administers the rules of the local forum. When no officer is appointed for a role, the CO will carry out the responsibilities and actions of that role. The OC is the primary representative of unit members on the Legion Council and is responsible for assigning the required additional representatives to their Unit Council.
